I'm happy to assist with this process! Once we've put together the package tailored to you, I'll prepare the Client Service Agreement, which officially records the terms we've agreed upon. Once both parties have signed this agreement and the deposit amount is received into my bank account, the booking is officially confirmed, and I'll begin the countdown to your big day too. :)

Rest assured, we maintain the same high standards of quality and professionalism regardless.

What happens if you're unable to film our wedding due to unforeseen circumstances?Fortunately, this has never happened before, but we are prepared for it. I've heard horror stories about someone's memory card failing during the day and losing all their previous recordings. How do you protect against this?Fortunately, I haven't experienced anything similar, but I take every precaution to prevent it. 1) Firstly, I use high-quality memory cards with minimal risk of factory defects. 2) My main camera, which I use throughout the day, records to two memory cards simultaneously, providing an immediate backup of the footage. 3) Throughout the day, I transport the cards in a shockproof, dustproof and waterproof (up to 30 meters) case. 4) Once home, I transfer the data to my server, which utilizes a RAID-5 file system, ensuring that even if one HDD were to fail, the data could be safely restored from the other three drives. 5) In addition to the server, I also store the data on an external SSD until the edited footage is completed. So, from the moment of recording until the final delivery of the edited footage, I always keep the recordings in at least two independent locations, thus minimizing the risk of data loss.

How do you record audio throughout the day?During the ceremony, I ensure high-quality audio recording from 4-5 sources: 1) I place a discreet lavalier mic on the celebrant, 2) If a handheld microphone is used, I also attach a recording device to it, 3) Similarly, I conceal a microphone on the groom, 4) I attach an external microphone to the camera on the tripod, and 5) my handheld camera also records with the assistance of an external microphone for better audio quality than what the built-in microphone could provide. While the first ones are for capturing the ceremony's dialogue and vows, the latter ones enable recording audience reactions (applause, cheers). In the final film, I mix these audio tracks together in the appropriate proportions as needed. At the reception, I typically use two recorders: one is attached to the microphone held by the speaker, while the other captures audience reactions (similarly to the ceremony).
-
Our celebrant brings their own audio equipment. Why don't you connect to their gear and record the audio that way? Most celebrants use good, reliable equipment, but they don't always have optimal settings, which can affect the quality of their gear. Based on my experience, I've consistently achieved better recordings using my own equipment. This way, I'm not reliant on others, and I can confidently guarantee the quality of my work.
-
How long will it take to receive our wedding film? The turnaround time for delivering your wedding film depends on the package you choose and our current workload. Typically, you can expect to receive your film within 3-8 weeks after your wedding day.
-
Do you offer raw footage as well?I typically don't provide raw footage. These recordings are crafted along a creative concept, tailored to fit the structure of the final highlight film. (Short clips, ranging from 3 to 10 seconds, come in various resolutions and frame rates depending on the requirements for the final film. Not all devices support playback of these files. It's a bit like we don't have the recipe or necessary cooking utensils, and attempting to eat raw rice or spoon flour and other ingredients into our mouths.) It's my task to gather the appropriate 'tasteless, oddly-looking' ingredients in line with the recipe in my mind, so that I can use the finest, most memorable, and entertaining pieces, cooking up the most delicious end result for you. :)
-
Will our wedding film be edited, and what does the editing process entail?Yes, all our wedding films are professionally edited to ensure a polished final product. The editing process involves selecting the best footage, enhancing audio, color grading, and adding music to create a cinematic experience.
-
Can we choose the music for our wedding film?As part of the creative process, I typically select the music. These are royalty-free tracks specifically crafted for this purpose, greatly enhancing the storytelling with their structure and mood. In the case of unique musical preferences, I cannot guarantee the rights for usage. This means that, for example, in the event of publishing on social platforms, the video may be blocked or copyright claims may be made against the publisher.
-
Do you use AI in your work?Yes, but not in the traditional sense of creative processes. For example, if there was a lot of wind during the ceremony, I use AI-based tools to remove wind noise and other disturbances from the recorded audio, but I don't entrust it with content decisions (such as editing vows, the sequence of cut shots, and other creative elements that define storytelling). I handle all of these myself; the 'handmade' work I do is what you receive. This is what makes every film unique, personalised, telling Your stories.
